Professor Paolo L. Bürgi has been practicing as a free-lance landscape architect since 1977 in his own office based in Camorino, Switzerland.
He is adjunct professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania since 1997 and Professore a Contratto at the IUAV, Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, since 2003. He was also invited as visiting professor at the Università Mediterranea degli Studi in Reggio Calabria, Italy, and at the School of Architecture, Columbus Ohio.
Bürgi has participated in a number of international competitions winning several prizes.
Steve Martino FSLA is internationally known for his pioneering work with native plant material and the development of a desert derived aesthetic, Steve’s projects have been recognized with over 100 local, regional and national design awards, including nine National Design Awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects.
His work has been published nationally and internationally in over 260 books and periodicals.
His efforts are based on his intimate understanding of the region and on the underlying theme of man’s relationship to the desert environment.
Phoenix native and resident, Martino’s project experience ranges from urban development and remote large-scale communities, to public art competitions and private gardens.
John Brookes FSGD MBE has designed and built well over 1000 gardens during a career spanning 50 years.
Based at Denmans, his acclaimed world famous garden in West Sussex , he is as active as ever and runs an extremely busy design practice, creating gardens large and small, all over the UK and abroad.
He has won numerous awards throughout his career including 4 Gold medals at Chelsea.
He is best known for his ability to create gardens that relate to their environment, designing gardens that fit into the wider landscape; that best suit the style and period of the house and the functional and stylistic aspirations of his clients.
His extensive portfolio includes traditional English gardens both formal and informal, modern, minimalist, Islamic and wild gardens.
John is a successful and prolific author, having written 24 best selling books, and countless articles for newspapers and magazines. He lectures on garden design in UK and overseas and runs a design school in Argentina.
Anthony Paul FSGD has been a landscape designer for more than 30 years and is renowned for his innovative and contemporary gardens as well as his passion for the work.
Anthony is inspired by many stimuli such as the calm of Japanese garden design and the stunning landscapes and rainforests of his native New Zealand.
His varied and creative use of water, including the formation of lakes and swimming pools, is a particular characteristic of his gardens, which are known for their strong form and architectural planting. He is also well known for designing specialised garden buildings.
Anthony is a respected lecturer and teacher on his subjects worldwide and is a Fellow of the Society of Garden Designers. .
